A Million Thank Yous to the Charles D. Berry Foundation!

Several weeks ago, Chuck Berry and Nora Vondrell of the Charles D. Berry Foundation toured the new Cincinnati Public Radio building. The next day the Charles D. Berry Foundation donated $1 million to the Building Connections Campaign!

Chuck Berry started listening to radio stations like WSAI as a child; he has an encyclopedic knowledge of radio and music – and a passion for local public radio. Chuck lives in Dayton, Ohio and he’s quietly and generously supported many regional public radio stations for decades including WVXU, WGUC, WMUB, WYSO and WDPR. WVXU was the first public station Chuck donated to beginning in the 1980s and he’s been an avid WVXU listener and supporter ever since.

Chuck’s gift for CPR’s new home is transformational and we are thrilled to announce the 91.7 broadcast studio will be named, The Chuck Berry WVXU Studio.
