Experience

I enjoy an eclectic mix of content, from news and information, public radio programs, and podcasts to salsa and instrumental music and audiobooks. Working at Cincinnati Public Radio as Vice President of Content does not feel like work. Why? Going to the office charged with bringing public radio to the masses is exhilarating. I work daily to help inform, educate and entertain the public, which is one of the things I find so rewarding about this job. In my role, I serve as program director for 90.9 WGUC Classical and non-news programming on 91.7 WVXU. I manage marketing, digital, social media, events, volunteers, and educational outreach programs. I also serve as the liaison to our Community Advisory Board.

I am a Cincinnati native with an extensive career in media and nonprofit management and governance. I was a reporter and anchor at WCPO-TV 9, a reporter for The List nationally syndicated news magazine show and a reporter with WLWT before working for Cincinnati Metro, the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio and the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau in marketing, communications and public relations. I started my professional career in public radio at 91.1 WVUB on the campus of Vincennes University.

Education

I spent my first year attending HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Hampton University in Virginia. I attended the University of Cincinnati for one quarter before transferring to Miami University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in mass communications and a minor in political science. Co-anchoring beside Miami University journalism instructor Dan Conti was one of the highlights of my college broadcasting career. I also taught killer, calorie-burning step, and aerobics classes on campus.
